With only 7 years to go, we are exactly half-way into the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals. It is also time to look back and see the enormous work that local and regional governments have done on SDGs: how cities and territories are increasingly using them as tools to plan more strategically, deliver better services and, most importantly, better communicate their local action.

UCLG (United Cities and Local Governments) and the UN SDG Action Campaign have joined forces to develop new adaptable tools for cities and territories to communicate better what they are doing to make Agenda 2030 a reality for all, such as the local government targeted “Flip The Script” campaign and the SDG Local Tales, that gather stories and better data about how local governments are delivering on Agenda 2030, offering better and more inclusive services to their citizens and contributing to generate public trust. These tools were presented at the 2022 UCLG World Congress in Daejeon.
