#SDGActionFest 2020: call for applications by SDG changemakers around the world
The UN SDG Action Campaign is calling all SDG changemakers from around the world to apply and register for the 2020 edition of the SDG Global Festival of Action (1–3 April, Bonn). As in previous years, the Festival is designed by and for the international SDG action community to meet and connect, to share, experience and learn from the latest thinking, approaches, and practices to be better equipped to advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) together for people and for the planet.
Five years into the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, 2020 will be critical for accelerating progress towards the SDGs as it will kick start the Decade of Action announced by the UN Secretary-General and mark the UN’s 75th anniversary.

The UN SDG Action Campaign is currently crowd-sourcing applications and curating sessions, workshops, and innovations in partnership with a variety of SDG collaborators from across sectors to develop a rich tapestry of insights, solutions, and new ideas and through the process provide a platform for the latest changemakers.
Artists and creatives, social innovators, philanthropists, international institutions & NGOs, local authorities and national governments, academia and leading businesses can submit applications to host sessions, workshops, share experiences and innovations, as well as sign up to attend. The application process is open for 4 weeks, until 10th January 2020. Selected applicants will become an integral part of the Festival from 1 to 3 of April 2020 in Bonn and join over 2,000 SDG changemakers from around the world.
The annual SDG Global Festival of Action is powered by the UN SDG Action Campaign with the support of the German Ministry for Economic Development and Cooperation (BMZ), the German Federal Foreign Office and partners with the overall aim of inspiring action for the SDGs.
The 2020 edition of the Festival will identify and promote local actions and innovations that can lead to transformative change, nurture and grow the SDG Action Community and provide participants with tangible learning, take-aways and opportunities to strengthen the impact of their work and build new alliances and networks with like-minded individuals and organizations.

#SDGActionFest kommt 2020 zum vierten Mal nach Bonn — SDG changemaker aus der ganzen Welt sind dazu eingealden, sich zu bewerben
Die SDG Action Campaign (Aktionskampagne für die Ziele für nachhaltige Entwicklung) der Vereinten Nationen hat die Ausschreibung für das SDG Global Festival of Action (1. bis 3. April in Bonn) veröffentlicht. Wie in den Vorjahren wird das Festival von und für die internationale SDG Action Community gestaltet, um den Erfahrungsaustausch zu stärken und neue Ideen, Herangehensweisen und Praktiken zu teilen. So werden Einzelpersonen und Institutionen aus verschiedenen Sektoren dazu befähigt, die Ziele für nachhaltige Entwicklung gemeinsam für Menschen und den Planeten umzusetzen.
Die Agenda 2030 für nachhaltige Entwicklung wurde vor fünf Jahren verabschiedet. Mit dem Jahr 2020 beginnt die vom UN-Generalsekretär ausgerufene Aktionsdekade zur Erreichung der 17 Ziele in 10 Jahren. Auch feiern die Vereinten Nationen nächstes Jahr ihren 75. Jahrestag. 2020 ist damit ein entscheidendes Jahr, um den Fortschritt für die SDGs zu beschleunigen.

In den kommenden Wochen wird die UN SDG Action Campaign eingehende Bewerbungen sichten und zusammen mit Partnern ein Programm erarbeiten, welches Seminare, Plenarsitzungen, Ausstellungen und weitere Formate sowie eine große Bandbreite an diversen Herangehensweisen und innovativen Lösungen umfassen wird. Der Auswahlprozess bietet eine Plattform für Personen und Institutionen, die positive Veränderungen in der Gesellschaft voranbringen.
KünstlerInnen und Kreative, SozialunternehmerInnen, PhilanthropInnen, internationale Institutionen und NGOs, lokale Behörden und Regierungen, Hochschulen und führende Unternehmen können sich sowohl für die Organisation von Seminaren, Workshops und Veranstaltungen bewerben, sowie für ihre Teilnahme. Bewerbungen werden bis zum 10. Januar 2020 entgegengenommen. Ausgewählte BewerberInnen werden vom 1. bis 3. April 2020 integraler Bestandteil des Festivals in Bonn und schließen sich über 2.000 SDG AktivistInnen aus der ganzen Welt an.
Das SDG Global Festival of Action wird jährlich von der UN SDG Action Campaign mit Unterstützung des Bundesministeriums für wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit und Entwicklung (BMZ), des Auswärtigen Amtes und Partnern organisiert. Ziel ist es, neue Wege zu finden, um alle Menschen weltweit für die Ziele für nachhaltige Entwicklung zu mobilisieren und zum handeln anzuregen.
Die vierte Ausgabe des Festivals nächstes Jahr wird besonders lokale Handlungen und Innovationen, die zu einem transformativen Wandel führen können, identifizieren und hervorheben. Gleichzeitig stärkt und vergrößert das Festival jedes Jahr die SDG Action Community und Teilnehmenden werden greifbare Lösungen und Möglichkeiten geboten, um die Wirkung ihrer Arbeit für die Ziele zu verstärken und neue Allianzen mit Gleichgesinnten und Organisationen aufzubauen und zu intensivieren.
