Iconic artist and activist Elisa announced as the first Ally of the UN SDG Action Campaign
In these challenging times marked by multiple crises, music can be a universal language that unites us. Music and art help us not only to understand the world, but also to flip the script on prevailing narratives and help us face injustices — from climate to inequalities and gender discrimination.
Music plays a fundamental role in raising awareness that can help trigger the change that is necessary today — and in connecting people’s emotions and minds. It is clear that individual and collective change only occurs when minds and hearts come together.
The UN SDG Action Campaign is proud to welcome Italian singer, iconic artist, music producer and activist Elisa, as the first Ally of the UN SDG Action Campaign.
“Elisa’s actions to set a new sustainable standard for her shows and sharing a message of hope through her beautiful words and music is a shining example of what an Ally of the UN SDG Action Campaign can do to inspire people — throughout Italy and beyond.” — Marina Ponti
Individuals like Elisa, who use their platforms to help catalyze change with their actions to make our planet more sustainable and just, are a perfect example of how the power is in our hands to Flip the Script and show that change is possible.
“I hope to inspire people and my fans to be more aware of how important our daily actions are to change our world. I am thrilled to be the First Ally of the UN SDG Action Campaign and share a common path to flip the script for a fair, peaceful and greener Planet.” — Elisa

#InsiemepergliSDG to #FlipTheScript
On May 3rd in Milan, Italy, Elisa joined the #InsiemepergliSDG to #FlipTheScript event, co-organized by the UN SDG Action Campaign and the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. The all-female panel included Marina Ponti — UN SDG Action Campaign Director, Marina Sereni — Italian Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Anna Scavuzzo — Deputy Mayor of Milan, Daniela Fatarella — Director of Save the Children Italia.
